"He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." Colossians 1:17

What a reminder when we’re lost, feeling as if the walls are caving in, and we don’t know what are next moves are.

This verse shows that we don’t always have to be holding everything together, that it’s okay to let go of our grip and give it to Jesus. Because through His death He saved us. He allowed peace to be available through the blood He shed, making Him our Savior, our refuge.

And I don’t know about you, but I love to be reminded that He’s there holding me in place especially during these times. Because recently I’ve felt out of place, I’ve felt like I’m all out of encouragement, all out of motivation, I just felt lost, and empty like all of me was poured out, and it got me down. I even took 3 days away from my phone, putting it in a drawer, turned off, wanting no access to it and what it’s screen had to say.

I had to log out mentally and physically by putting away the device that holds everything inside it by the touch of a button. And honestly it was quite an eye opener to how attached you can become to a device. Like yes texting friends, checking up on people, searching new things to do, watching videos, these are all good to do, but sometimes that’s all I chase and devote my time to. And it’s nice but it also causes me to lose myself, because I'm not pouring in ME time, which frankly we all need from time to time.

We need to check up on ourselves and make sure that we’re all okay. That we aren’t spiraling out of control, that we’re grounded and aware of our surroundings and who we are! So that's what I've been doing, I've been trying to dig in deeper to who I truly am, I even bought a book called, Dream Big by Bob Goff. This book discusses 3 main things:

Know what you want, Why you want it, and What you're going to do about it.

And honestly that's crucial, because from those things we get our life's purpose, passions, and ambitions. But what I've learned is that in order to get to those points you need to realize that you aren't in control. You're probably like, "What, I'm not in control but I have to know what I want?" Yes, because you need to know that God is in control, by knowing He is in control, you'll know that your ambitions are then placed in His hands, where He will bless them or He'll tell you to drop them and find something else to do. This to me is like WOW, because this means if he can change our goals to be more than what we've asked for, He can do the same with negative thoughts and make what was once a mess, beautiful, making a masterpiece out of broken pieces. For He is the potter, we are the clay, and He won't ever leave you high and dry, but will mold you into an amazing work of art that can shine.

So along your transitions He is with you in you, growing with you, guiding you, encouraging you, He is always going to be there as your support and sustainer. And if there comes a time where your goal has to shift to better further His kingdom, you won't go into a panic, but you'll know that He is the one ultimately in control and you need to follow where He's guiding your next steps.

Much Love
